Last year me and Steve and Brendon were all in the water the day before a typhoon, surfing glassy waves that were pretty small (4 foot max). A bunch of guards came over and started whistling at us to get out of the water.

We ignored them, and so they sent a couple of guys out on jet-skis to wave us in: again we ignored them.

It wasn't until they called a group of soldiers down to the beach and a very official guy started vehemently waving us in that we decided to give up on it: it was getting late anyway and we were looking forward to bigger surf the next day.

Fortunately, when the surf was 10 ft+ the next day they had no such law enforcement at the beach, and we could enter freely: for those who dared...
